I am a freelance translator and this book really changed my mind about how I was handling all marketing or professional issues of my job.Actually it is helping me clear my mind about what I have done so far and what I am going to do in the future.

Even though Tess Whitty's book is geared toward marketing for translators, I found her cookbook metaphor extremely helpful when marketing ANY product or service. I'm going to incorporate her idea, for example, of having a "stocked pantry" by taking inventory of my skills, talents, contacts, and resources before I develop my next marketing plan for my own books and services.

Tess Whitty is not only a very experienced translator, but also a marketing expert and someone who has a keen interest in technology. In this book, she combines those skills and explores ways in which translators can improve their marketing efforts and ultimately, get more clients!
